Another mixed-use project, this one featuring condominiums, is about to begin in downtown Easton.

Serfass Development announced Friday that it plans to build The Lynden at 101 S. Third St. It will feature 73 units, including one-, two- and three-bedroom residences and a penthouse. Commercial space on the first floor will have a branch of Fidelity Bank.

Serfass says it is the first major condominium project in the Lehigh Valley in about 25 years.

“The Lynden represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to own a new condominium in downtown Easton,” said Kevin Serfass, partner of Serfass Development. “We’ve created a collection that appeals to everyone — from first-time homebuyers to those seeking exclusive penthouse living — while offering amenities and design that elevate everyday life.”

Amenities will include a rooftop terrace with panoramic views, a club room, and a courtyard garden for meditation and relaxation.

The Easton Planning Commission approved special land use approval for the project on Wednesday.

The Lynden is the second mixed-use building proposed for the site in recent years. A 12-story building featuring 75 apartments was put forward by developer Garrett Benner in 2019, but didn’t get past the planning stage.

Serfass purchased the property from Benner in April for $2.9 million, according to Northampton County property records.
