Lehigh Valley wrestling’s top 10 freshmen/newcomers entering 2025-26 season

Based on the number of talented freshmen and first-year varsity wrestlers this season, Lehigh Valley wrestling has a bright future.

A few of the freshmen are ranked nationally by multiple outlets: Faith Christian’s Asher Bacon, Nazareth’s Caleb Kosko and Bethlehem Catholic’s Mike Nicosia.

Seven of the Lehigh Valley area’s top 10 are competing at this weekend’s Walsh Jesuit Ironman tournament in Ohio where four local teams are headed: Bethlehem Catholic, Faith Christian, Northampton and Notre Dame-Green Pond.

Here is a fluid list of the area’s best entering the season, including a sophomore who sat out last season because of the transfer rule:
