
Penn State running back Kaytron Allen and guard Vega Ioane were named Thursday to the All-Big Ten first-team offense.
Allen was recognized by the coaches and media panel after he rushed for 1,303 yards and 15 touchdowns in the regular season. He received All-Big Ten honorable mention last season from the media.
He ranks second in the Big Ten in rushing behind Nebraska’s Emmett Johnson, who was voted the Running Back of the Year.

Ioane, a two-year starter, was voted to the first team by the media panel and to the second team by the coaches. He was selected to the second team by the coaches and the media last season.
Five Penn State players received honorable mention: running back Nick Singleton, offensive linemen Drew Shelton, Nolan Rucci and Nick Dawkins and tight end Khalil Dinkins.
Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza was voted the Offensive Player of the Year and the Quarterback of the Year. He was joined on the first team by Wide Receiver of the Year Jeremiah Smith of Ohio State and Tight End of the Year Kenyon Sadiq.
Indiana tackle Carter Smith was selected the Offensive Lineman of the Year and was joined on the coaches and media first team by Iowa center Logan Jones and Oregon guard Emmanuel Pregnon.
Ioane was joined on the media first team by Iowa tackle Gennings Dunker. Iowa guard Beau Stephens and Illinois tackle J.C. Davis made the coaches first team.
Smith, Ohio State teammate Carnell Tate and USC’s Makai Lemon were voted the first-team wide receivers by the coaches and media.
Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin was selected the conference’s Freshman of the Year.
