Penn State placed three players on the All-Big Ten third-team defense and special teams, it was announced Wednesday.

Defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton was voted to the third team by the coaches and media panels. Linebacker Amare Campbell was selected by the media, and punter Gabe Nwosu by the coaches.

In addition, defensive tackle Zane Durant, cornerbacks A.J. Harris and Audavion Collins and safety Zakee Wheatley received honorable mention.

Kick returner Nick Singleton, kicker Ryan Barker and long snapper Tyler Duzansky also made the honorable mention list.

Duzansky earlier this week was named one of the three finalists for the Mannelly Award, which goes to the nation’s top long snapper. Georgia’s Beau Gardner and North Carolina’s Spencer Triplett are the other finalists.

Duzansky has served as a team captain this season. He was named to the All-Big Ten third team by the media last year and received honorable mention from the coaches.

Former Penn State long snapper Chris Stoll won the award in 2022.

Ohio State and Indiana, which meet for the Big Ten title Saturday night, dominated the All-Big Ten first-team defense and special teams picks.

Caleb Downs of Ohio State was named the Defensive Player of the Year and the Defensive Back of the Year. Downs, Bishop Fitzgerald of USC and D’Angelo Pounds of Indiana were the other defensive backs who made the coaches and media first team.

Indiana’s Louis Moore made the coaches first team and Ohio State’s Davison Igbinosun was on the media first team.

Ohio State’s Arvell Reese was voted the Linebacker of the Year and was joined on the coaches and media first team by Ohio State’s Sonny Styles and Indiana’s Aiden Fisher.

Ohio State’s Kayden McDonald was selected the Defensive Lineman of the Year and was joined on the coaches and media team at defensive tackle by Indiana’s Tyrique Tucker.

Defensive ends Derrick Moore of Michigan and Anthony Smith of Minnesota were voted to the first team by the coaches. Gabe Jacas of Illinois and Caden Curry of Ohio State made the media first team.

Michigan State punter Ryan Eckley and Iowa returner Kaden Wetjen were voted to the first team by the coaches and media. The media named Indiana kicker Nico Radicic to the first team, and the coaches picked Sean O’Hare of Maryland.

Indiana’s Curt Cignetti was voted Coach of the Year by the coaches and media.

The All-Big Ten offense will be announced Thursday.
