A 10.5-acre plot of land in Upper Macungie Township that is slated for apartments was recently sold for $3.9 million.
Lehigh County property records said that the land at 8739 Hamilton Blvd. was sold to Fox Run Partners LLC from D.R. Horton Inc. in July. The land sits at the intersection of Routes 222 and 100 just west of Trexlertown. It is across the street from Earl Adams Memorial Park.
Fox Run Partners is a limited liability company that shares a mailing address with the Lancaster office of the Barley Snyder law firm.
D.R. Horton, a New Jersey builder, bought the plot from Jaindl Land Co. in November for $2.1 million. Fred Jaindl first purchased it in 1966 for $30,000.
According to The James Balliet Property Group, which was marketing the property, the complex will have 22 buildings holding 132 apartments with a 10,000-square-foot day care center. During the approval process, it went by the name Twin Ponds.
Upper Macungie supervisors approved the project in July.
