A week after announcing it’s closure in Allentown, a local brewery will soon open a new venue and taproom elsewhere in the Lehigh Valley.

HiJinx Brewing Co. has signed a lease to open the new venue in January at 164 Bushkill St. in Tatamy, according to a news release provided by owner Curt Keck, in partnership with the Tatamy Volunteer Fire Co.

The Northampton County venue will host space for banquets and private events alongside activities like cornhole, quoits, karaoke and live music, the news release said. Keck added that the venue will also have a full taproom.

“The new space is being designed as a community-forward gathering spot with plenty to do beyond great beer,” the news release said.

Just a week ago, HiJinx announced it would close its taproom on Dec. 20 at 905 Harrison St. in Allentown before ending brewery options on Dec. 31.
