These two Lehigh Valley-area resorts have the best snow tubing, survey says

Blue Mountain and Camelback resorts are in the running for the country’s best snow tubing spots.

Both resorts are on USA Today’s nomination list for its 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards; people can vote daily on its website through Nov. 10.

“Home to the largest snow tubing park in the nation, Blue Mountain Resort wows visitors with 56 separate lanes and a wide range of specialized sessions available throughout the week,” the USA Today website said. “Guests can enjoy classic tubing during daylight hours, while later visitors are welcome to join in on Sonic Snow Tubing, a lively experience accompanied by music and colorful light shows.”

“With two-hour sessions and over 40 lanes to choose from, there’s never a dull moment when snow tubing at Camelback Resort in the Poconos,” the website continued. “Guests can line up side by side to race against family or friends, and things get totally tubular with the resort’s nighttime galactic snow tubing experience.”

Winners will be announced at noon on Nov. 19.

Blue Mountain Resort’s tubing park is expected to open Nov. 28 at 1660 Blue Mountain Drive in Lower Towamensing Township, according to the news release, while Camelback Resort’s tubing park is expected to open Dec. 12. at 193 Resort Drive in Pocono Township.

Camelback Resort is also home to the state’s largest aerial obstacle course.
