A Northampton County man died Thursday after his vehicle crashed into a utility pole in Lehigh County.

Gregg A. Henritzy, 78, of Walnutport, was pronounced dead about 4:30 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, after his vehicle crashed in Washington Township, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.

Henritzy’s vehicle hit the pole in the area of Route 873 and Venture Court, the coroner said. His death was caused by blunt-force injuries, with the manner accidental.

State police are investigating the crash.
