“Love is Blind” has officially announced its casting call for singles in the Philadelphia area.
Casting calls for the popular Netflix show also are currently happening in New Orleans, Austin, St. Louis and Charleston, South Carolina. It’s not clear if there’s a future “Love is Blind” season set in Philadelphia in the works, but the city will certainly be a happening place in 2026 as it celebrates the United States’ 250th anniversary.
The show launched in 2020 and is hosted by real-life celebrity couple Nick and Vanessa Lachey. It also spawned “Love is Blind: UK.”
Contestants “date” for a week without seeing each other, and can only hear the other’s voice as they take part in different activities. The contestants can then choose to get engaged and finally see each other. Within 10 days, marriage proposals happen without cast members knowing what their new fiancé or fiancée actually looks like. Then, they have a trial period in their home city, as they meet family and plan for their nuptials, before deciding whether they “do” or “don’t” at the aisle.
According to the Instagram post, applicants should be “brave, open-minded, and ready for a committed relationship!”
The 72 questions on the application range from “How long have you been single?” to “Are you ready for a true commitment?” and “Is finding love more important to you than being on television or gaining a following via social media? Be honest.” and “What are your hobbies? What do you bring to the table?”
You’re also prohibited from applying if you are a candidate for public office.
