Traffic disruptions and delays are expected Tuesday evening in Monroe County while President Donald Trump visits the area.
State police said troopers will be helping the Secret Service with security while the president makes a stop in Paradise Township. The president is expected to go to Mount Airy Casino Resort for an event.
The event is expected to take place at 6 p.m. at the resort, the office of U.S. Rep. Rob Bresnahan confirmed to the Citizens’ Voice late Friday afternoon.
Delays and closures will also happen near Mount Pocono, Coolbaugh Township and Pocono Township, according to a state police news release. More specific information was not released.
Due to the road restrictions, the Pocono Mountain School District announced it will dismiss classes three hours early Tuesday.
The visit is Trump’s first to Northeast Pennsylvania since returning to office in January.
