Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men suspected of being involved in a shooting that injured one person Saturday morning in Stroudsburg.
Officers were called about 1:50 a.m. to the 600 block of Main Street for a report of a shooting, Stroud Area Regional police said in a news release. A 21-year-old man was shot in the abdomen, and he was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
The man was shot at close range shortly after leaving a business in the area, the release states.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage from the area and examined the scene. Police said the suspected shooter was wearing a multicolored North Face-style jacket, a face mask and gray sweatpants. A second man, wearing a black coat and dark pants, is believed to have acted as an accomplice, according to the release.
The department shared photos of the men Tuesday.
Anyone with information is asked to submit a tip through the department’s CrimeWatch page at monroe.crimewatchpa.com/sarpd.
