A house fire went to two alarms Friday afternoon in Allentown.
Firefighters were called about 1 p.m. to the 800 block of North Jasper Street for an initial report of downed wires, according to city fire department Capt. John Hammel. When they arrived, heavy smoke was coming from the rear of the twin home, he said.
The fire went to a second alarm shortly after. No injuries were reported. Hammel said all occupants are out of the home.
Photos shared to social media showed flames shooting through the roof of the structure.
The fire, Hammel said, appears to be contained to the rear of the home. Drivers should avoid that area. Crews remained on scene throughout the afternoon.
