The shooting death of a 19-year-old man Saturday in a Catasauqua house has been ruled a homicide, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said.

The man, whose name is being withheld to give his family time to grieve, was pronounced dead at 5:46 p.m. in the house on the 200 block of Edward Lane, Buglio said.

An autopsy and radiology test will be performed Monday, and no additional information would be released Sunday, he added.

In addition to the coroner, the Catasauqua police, Lehigh County Homicide Task Force and Lehigh County district attorney’s office are investigating.

“Once we have more information, we will release it at the appropriate time,” District Attorney Gavin Holihan said in a statement.

State police and North Catasauqua police also assisted, Buglio said.
