Lehigh Valley weather: As autumn draws closer, a summer-like week in store

As September approaches its midpoint, with football under way and the leaves at least thinking about turning, the weather will be less than fall-like.

The National Weather Service forecast shows sunshine and high temperatures in the 80s for most of the week. The first hint of rain is overnight Wednesday into Thursday but the chance is only 30%.

Today: Sunny, high near 83. Partly cloudy tonight, low around 59.

Sunday: Sunny, high near 85. Mostly clear at night, low around 59.

Monday: Sunny, high near 83. Partly cloudy at night, low around 59.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, high near 83. Mostly cloudy at night, low around 59.

Wednesday Partly sunny, high near 80. At night, a 30% chance of showers after 2 a.m. Low around 59.

Thursday: A 30% chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Partly cloudy at night, low around 60.

Friday: Mostly sunny, high near 85.
