Allentown’s annual Lights in the Parkway will kick off its 29th year next month.

The drive-through display will run 5:30-10 p.m. Nov. 28 through Jan. 6. It will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

The display, which has more than 200,000 lights, has a variety of light features, including festive, tree-lined paths and animated scenes, according to an Allentown news release.

On certain days visitors will be able to walk through the display instead of driving through it. The Parkway will be closed to vehicles Dec. 1, 8, 15, 22, 28, and Jan. 5 and 6, according to the city.

Guests can purchase early bird tickets for $14 per car or $24 per commercial vehicle before Oct. 31. After that date, tickets are $16 per car or $26 per commercial vehicle. Tickets may be purchased at allentownpa.gov/LITP.

Tickets are not sold on site.

Guests can enter the parkway from Martin Luther King Jr. Drive onto Lehigh Parkway East.
