Allentown man, 65, dies nearly 2 weeks after being hit by car, coroner says

An Allentown man died Monday from injuries he suffered when he was hit by a car nearly two weeks earlier in the city.

Jerome Bauder, 65, was hit by a vehicle about 7 p.m. Oct. 1 at the intersection of West Allen Street and North 15th Street, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said.

Bauder was pronounced dead about 6:40 p.m. Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Buglio said in a news release. The coroner said Bauder died from complications of multiple traumatic injuries, with the manner accidental.

Allentown police and the Lehigh County district attorney’s office are investigating.
