The Bethlehem fire marshal is investigating a Sunday afternoon blaze at Pints & Pies Pub on East Elizabeth Avenue, which occurred shortly before the early NFL games kicked off.
Bethlehem firefighters responded about 12:20 p.m. to a two-alarm blaze at the pizza pub, fire Chief Matthew Griffin said via email Sunday.
Griffin said arriving firefighters found fire and smoke coming from walls in the building before being able to extinguish the blaze around 2 p.m.
No one was reported injured; however, the stubborn fire led to an evacuation of the building, and a second alarm was called which brought additional personnel and equipment to the scene, according to Griffin.
He said it was not immediately known when the restaurant will reopen.
Pints & Pies opened about two years ago, with the owners also operating a restaurant at 2049 Northampton St. in Wilson.
