A Monroe County man is accused of soliciting sex from a teenager, according to police.
James Harden, 57, of Pocono Manor, was arrested Friday after he had conversations online with someone he believed was a 13-year-old girl, according to a Pocono Mountain Regional Police news release.
Officers were contacted by Bikers Against Predators, a nonprofit organization that exposes online predators.
They provided police with video and text messages of the exchanges, which prompted an independent investigation by Pocono Mountain Regional, the release states. Through that investigation, officers were able to confirm that Harden tried to solicit sexual contact with a minor, police said.
Harden is charged with disseminating explicit sexual material and criminal use of a communications facility, which are felonies, as well as a misdemeanor of corruption of minors. He was sent to Monroe County Prison without bail.
